As a designer, doing work for yourself is probably the most difficult thing you can ever do.
— Francisco Inchauste
The first iteration of Supernormal.us was created in 2009 with the goal of presenting the breadth of a young designer. Three years later, I’d like version two to reflect growth, maturity and focus.
It’s astonishing to see the inclinations that I was not yet able to codify in 2009, are better understood now. Upon revisiting the previous iteration, I realized that elements like the tin can, monochrome color-way, and spare layout still resonate with me. Thus, I decided to rework the site to suit the sensibilities I embody today.

In pursuit of the above, I pared down the portfolio, removed superfluous (but interesting) sorting, and made the entire browsing experience more visual. This version highlights the projects that have challenged me to be a better designer, developer and user.
